Product Details

Doctor blade removes the excess ink/water/impurity/foreign particle from the smooth non-engraved portions of the image carrier. In simple words, these blades are used to clean the smooth/expensive moving surface. Either blade or the cylindrical part/surface which is to be cleaned would be in moving condition. The blade/cylinder combination is designed such that it is the blade which wears away, not the cylinder. The blade should sacrifice itself to protect more expensive material.
The scraping can be done using UHMWPE sheet where corrosion, chemical resistance is essential. Its low wear property gives significant life than metal scraper. It is also used where metal to metal contact has to be avoided.

The ice scraper blade is commonly used to clean ice/snow from roads/home and other places. Since the UHMWPE sheet works well in cryogenic conditions as well, this is the better substitute of heavy metal which can corrode easily.
